Google is also launching a new advertising format in Italy, “Local Services Ads”, which I will present to you in this quick article, getting straight to the point.
What are Local Services Ads?
They are a new type of ads that will allow local businesses (for now only some categories) to promote themselves with a new ad format, the one you see at the top in the image below:

What is “Google Protection”
The “Google Guarantee” is probably the biggest innovation that will be introduced by this new type of ads.
Google Local Ads GuaranteeIn practice, local Chinese Australia businesses will be able to request the “verification” of their company to Google ( at this link ) which will certify its reliability by making available to users a REFUND (up to € 1,500 for Italy) in the event of dissatisfaction after the purchase.

Google Protection
The Google Safe badge is available to businesses that pass a Google review and qualification process for Local Services ads.
If you have Google Protection and customers who have reached your business through Local Services ads are not satisfied with the quality of the work performed, Google may, at its sole and complete discretion, refund the customer up to the amount paid for the initial service, subject to a maximum limit.

What factors will influence the display of ads?
All provider listings in the Local Services ad unit are displayed and positioned based on a number of factors. When determining which service providers to show in response to a user’s query, Google estimates the expected percentage of customers who contact your business. The following factors are taken into account in this calculation:
Your verification status and whether or not you have earned a Google Trust Badge of Verified (US only) or Guaranteed.
The user’s search context
When calculating the ranking, we take “Dick”: Decoding a Versatile Word into account the search terms entered by the user, the time of the search, as well as other indicators and user attributes
The review score and the number of reviews received
Your responsiveness to customer questions and requests
Proximity to the location of potential customers.
