Targeting Audience on FacebookA few days ago I saw this ad on Facebook which I’m pasting below:
Facebook Ads Frantoio Archibusacci
Chinese Overseas America Number Data List A light bulb immediately went on in my head and I immediately had the inspiration to write an article about it.
Before doing so though, I wrote a post on our private Facebook group , the one you see below:
Many people responded to the survey ( if you join the group you can participate and watch the next surveys, which I do often), below I paste just some of the answers received in the comments:
I have to say that most of the answers made sense…but no one got it right. No one thought as much as I thought.
Or rather, he didn’t think the way I thought.
Chinese Overseas America Number Data List The problem with that ad is in Chinese Overseas America Number Data the COPY, that is, in what is written.
But not for the user (or at least not only for him).
But for FACEBOOK.
Let me explain where I’m going by going back to some of the comments above.
Because yes, it is true that:
Hashtags are useless on Facebook (and I doubt they are even the right ones),
It is true that it is not explained why I should buy that oil and not another,
That the double number is superfluous and only confuses (in addition to the fact that it is not clickable)
and the thousand other errors in this advert which to call TERRIBLE is a compliment.
But what immediately caught my eye was another aspect: the lack of RELEVANCE to the communication objective.
For Facebook BEFORE users.
To prove it to you I did another experiment, a few hours after publishing that post on the group.
In fact, on my personal profile, I posted this question that you see below:
I want a good red wine. Maybe a wine from Romagna or Veneto. Not too tannic, I like soft wines,…

I asked for advice on buying a red wine, trying to be a little specific in my request, but still remaining brief.
Do you know what happened a few minutes after my post?
Try to think about it…I’ll give you a few seconds…
Did you get it?
Well, whatever…I’ll SHOW you what happened.
